The base camp, located at Camping Merendella in Costa Verde, on the east coast of the island, is the best compromise to be able to radiate quickly throughout the department, but also to enjoy the 280 km of trails highlighted by the development of the local Community of Communes. Mountain biking in Corsica requires perfect mastery of your bike, and a habit of technical, stony, and trialising trails. Do not rely on the low mileage of the days, compared to your usual "statistics". You have to come and see for yourself to understand that 35 or 40 km here is equivalent to 60 at home.
Reception at the airport of Bastia Poretta or the port of Bastia and welcome to Camping Merendella.
After some explanations as to the progress of the stay, we will leave from the campsite to join the old railway towards La Tavagna. Where we will take advantage of the site VTT - FFC n ° 216 to realize a small unprecedented course, between wild single, and old paved roads. An entire program ! We will take this opportunity to take stock of the level of participants to adjust the course of the following days.

In the program of the day, a mountain bike must in the island: the Agriates! Small paradise protected largely by the conservatory of the littoral, the VTT allows us to progress more quickly and further in this sanctuary devoid of roads, but rich in paths and limit tracks drivable. Many "sea" views dot the course. For the more adventurous, swimming will be possible. Warning: no water points on the course.
Bus: Transfer to Ostriconi
This day will take us to the most northern point of the island, on the peninsula of Cap Corse. But before, we will have to climb in the interior of Cape to take a little height, with views on the 2 seas (Tyrrhenian and Mediterranean) as well as on the Tuscan archipelago. Then we will dive on the very cut coastline that we will follow, from towers to towers (Genoese) to the village of Macinaggio.
Bus: Transfer to Macinaggio
Today's loop will take place in the Center Corse region, where miles of "ancestral" single have been re-opened by volunteers. We will have the choice of several courses, according to the fatigue of the participants. The field will be technical in places, but you will be rode! Successions of bumps, never very high, we will have all day long beautiful views of the rugged mountains and high surrounding mountains.
Bus: No transfer.
Today we will visit the southern part of the Costa Verde region, from the seaside to the altitude 800m! Mix of crossings of small villages typical of the region, and mule tracks. A refreshing break with a river in the program, we will also take the opportunity to recover and prepare the next day marathon !
Bus: Transfer to Ponte Leccia
On the agenda of the day a superb loop in a forest of Laricciu pine trees, endemic to Corsica, between 800m and 1400m above sea level, at the foot of the highest peaks of the island, and in a region rich in pastoral heritage. We will have to take forest tracks, multi-secular mule tracks, and above all a very rolling and rolling part of the famous GR20. A last step that promises !
