Authentic Corsica

This stay off the beaten track will make you discover deep Corsica. You will walk our old mule tracks that used to serve as a road to connect our villages. A total immersion to meet our heritage and our habits and customs between discoveries of Romanesque chapels, natural waterfalls or old sheepfolds. An authentic stay near the earth and men.

The route of the hike

1st day
Arrival at the international airport or the port of Bastia.
Welcome and transfer to our campsite.

2nd day
Loop from Serra di Pignu, 300 m elevation gain, 5 km.
Interests: view of St Florent Bastia and Cap Corse, and the ice market with the coolers of Cardo.

3rd day
Muratu loop, 500 m elevation gain, 10 km
Interest: departure from the beautiful church of San Michele di Muratu, visit of the village and two other churches, hiking borders the Bevincu ideal for lunch along the river

4th day
Monte San Anghjulu, 550 m vertical drop, 6 km, leaving from Silvarecciu
Interests: superb belvedere on the plain, the Tuscan archipelago, the San Petrone and the highest point of the island. Crossed a magnificent chestnut grove and passage on old wheat area. Visit of a statue menhir and the village of Loretu-di-Casinca

5th day
San Bertuli, 550 m ascent, 8 km, leaving from Parata
Interests: discover one of the essential places of Castagniccia, possibility of evoking the past and present pastoralism of the region as well as the waters of Orezza. The loop makes it possible to pass in peaks to observe all the villages of the region

6th day
Loop Pianello, 300 m elevation gain, 6 km, departure from Pianello
Interests: viewpoint on the ponds of Diana and Urbinu, the trail takes the Mare a Mare North, and finished near a waterfall on the river Bravona
